Lexington Pointe recently played host to a special ceremony.
Students from the All Seasons Preschool celebrated their graduation with a program — and cupcakes! 🧁🎓
Chef Josh made personalized treats with mortarboard hats to honor these little graduates, and our residents cheered the students as they turned a corner and are now ready to transition to kindergarten.
Congratulations to all the graduates. We’re all so very proud of you!
The toasty summer temps last week created the perfect opportunity for residents at Lexington Pointe Senior Living to engage in a water fight with students at All Seasons Preschool. 💦💧🌞
Teachers from the school and some of the staff in our community got in on the action as well. Some of our staffers even dressed in costume for the big event. Both sides exchanged streams of wetness from water cannons, keeping everyone cool and having a blast.
We’re not sure who had more fun — the children or our residents. 😄

May your weekend light up with the company of friends and family, the sound of laughter, and a feeling of joy. Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Lexington Pointe Senior Living. Have a safe and relaxing weekend! 🎆
“When my father didn’t have my hand, he had my back.” – Linda Poindexter
To all the dads, granddads, stepdads, and dad-like figures who have our backs, lift us up, raise our spirits, and help us soar, we hope this weekend is every bit as special as you. Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Lexington Pointe Senior Living.
Some roses are red 🌹 And arranged in a bouquet To deliver love and happiness On Valentine’s Day
We hope your day blooms with beautiful, magical, and wonderful things.
Happy Valentine’s Day from Lexington Pointe Senior Living. ♥
Happy Presidents’ Day from Lexington Pointe Senior Living.
First established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington, what we now know as Presidents’ Day was part of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act in 1971 – designed to create more Monday holidays (and 3-day weekends) for workers.
Today the holiday is an opportunity to celebrate all U.S. presidents.
Lexington Pointe residents enjoyed an hour of music from the Windwood Jazz Duo. The performers, Chris and Conrad, put on a very entertaining show for a packed house. And it just so happens that Conrad is the son-in-law of two of our residents. Thank you both so much for donating your time and talents to our community! 🎸🎷
We recently enjoyed a lovely (and adorable) visit with our furry friend and therapy dog, Lexi. She’s a rescue who’s 7 years old and is amazing with our community members! While visiting with one of our Memory Care residents, Bob R., she tried to “sneak” some of his water and licked his straw, which gave everyone a good laugh! 😂🐕🦺
Lexington Pointe celebrated it’s first anniversary/birthday on September 1, and one of our resident couples sent our staff a lovely card to commemorate the occasion:
“Happy Birthday to us! Lexington Pointe and all the personnel who make it function and [a] happy campus:
One year ago today, September 1, 2020, was certainly exciting and very busy. For us, getting the keys to our new home was finally here. We were ready to move in!
For Taylor, Emily and Suzy, it meant getting the new residents checked for COVID, answering a million questions, and dealing with their requests – some simple and some otherwise!
Here’s to many good years to come. We’ll drink to that!” -Jack and Jan
Thank you for the kind message, Jack and Jan. Even though the pandemic presented us all with many unique challenges, we’ve loved serving our residents and building such an close-knit, fun, and supportive community during our first year. We look forward to many more yet to come! 🎉🥂❤️
Our National Night Out celebration was one for the books here at Lexington Pointe Senior Living! Community members in attendance were served a hot dog basket, root beer floats, and beer and wine. We also had a “smooch the pooch” kissing booth to enjoy some affection from an adorable puppy. Many attendees wore red, white, and blue in honor of our “Backyard Olympics” competition. Participants played cornhole (bean bag toss), washer toss, ring toss, a putting and chipping contest, and a water balloon toss. Some received gold medals for their victories, but everyone agreed that all the fun of playing together was the biggest prize.
We’d like to give a special thank you to “Denny the Muzikman” for entertaining us with his wonderful accordion performance, as well as the Alzheimer’s Association for their generous donations. And thank you to everyone who participated and made this incredible night of fun and community-building happen!
Lexington Pointe Senior Living’s staff received some heartwarming thank you letters following our National Night Out celebration, including this one from all our incredible residents:
“Thank you for your hard work and manual labor, food, entertainment, and clean-up on Tuesday night! It was fun and appreciated. Many thanks again.” – The Residents
We are so lucky to have such a fun, caring, and close-knit community. Thank you all for the kind and thoughtful messages – we are so glad to hear how much everyone enjoyed the night!
To help deal with the summer heat, we decided to have a water fight with students from the All Seasons Preschool. It was the perfect way to cool down and, as you can see, it spread a LOT of joy and laughter along the way! 💦🤣
Members of our Memory Care units recently got together to shuck corn. Everyone had an amazing time and did an excellent job! A big thank you to Joan and Nancy for helping out. 🌽
A speaker from the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) recently came by Lexington Pointe to give a presentation about traveling during the pandemic, as well as other interesting information and developments at the airport. Many of our community members attended the event and found it very informative and enjoyable.
Earlier this summer, we hosted a tea party during the men’s semi-final match of Wimbledon. Chef John prepared some delicious tea sandwiches to enjoy while sipping tea of various flavors and watching the competition. We also had a trivia game about Wimbledon and tea party etiquette! 🫖☕🥪🎾
Lexington Pointe’s management team celebrated National Tie Dye day in style! Here’s our Residence Director, Emily K., Director of Nursing, Suzy P., and Activities Director, Jen Z., showing off their fun and colorful outfits.
Lexington Pointe community members flexed their creative muscles with a fun and patriotic craft recently. We created American flags using popsicle sticks, paint, and paper stars, enjoying plenty of laughs and good times along the way! 🇺🇸
Lexington Pointe Senior Living started the month of July off with a birthday happy hour, featuring live accordion music courtesy of our talented friend, Denny. Residents in our Memory Care units also enjoyed the opportunity to visit and get creative with a fun Fourth of July craft. The results were spectacular! 🇺🇸🎉
Lexington Pointe hosted a successful (and very fun) swap meet last month! And anything that wasn’t taken was donated to the local Goodwill.
The Lexington Pointe Garden Club have done an amazing job bringing beauty and fresh herbs and vegetables to our community. We started in May with planting flowers and vegetables in our 8 gardening boxes, and we’d like to give a big thank you to the many tenants who helped us purchase the plants with their generous donations. Our club members have been working every day to water, weed, and care for our gardens, keeping them both beautiful and productive. 🌺🌷🌱
Are you a Lexington Pointe resident interested in fresh vegetables? We keep a sign-up sheet in the mailroom for community members who would like fresh herbs and/or vegetables. Every Monday morning the club members harvest what was requested, so be sure to get your orders in before then! 🌿🫑🥒
Students at the All Seasons Preschool, which is located right on the Lexington Pointe campus, enjoyed an exciting and educational visit from the local fire department before the year ended. Thank you to the generous firefighters for taking the time to speak to the kids. What a fun end-of-the-year experience! 🚒🧯
A few Lexington Pointe community members got together to share some good conversation and laughs over a paper flower and painted mason jar craft. We also hosted a paper airplane event where a small group created and tested different models. Once we found the best ones, we set up a little “paper airplane golf tournament” in our common areas. There’s nothing like making your own fun from scratch!
